Machinist - High Volume Operations

Job Summary
Setup and operate CNC and manual machines to produce thousands of high-quality components in a high-volume production environment. Read and edit programs using Fanuc controls, interpret technical drawings, and use precision measuring instruments to maintain dimensions per production specifications. Monitor machine operations for quality and efficiency, report inefficiencies or machining issues, and maintain required time, production, and quality records. Adhere to all safety guidelines while handling large parts using overhead cranes. This role provides on-the-job training for motivated individuals to launch a career in machining, with a focus on reliability and a willingness to learn on the floor.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to handle large and heavy parts using overhead cranes and other material handling equipment
- Shop environment, exposed to shop elements
- May work in tight and/or cramped spaces
- Walking, standing, lifting, stooping, reaching
- Physical demand to make setups and perform machining operations
- Some lifting of various weights, both assisted and unassisted
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in similar capacity
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Operate a variety of computer numeric control (CNC)
- Check accuracy of work using precision measuring instruments
- Ability to read and edit programs using Fanuc controls
- Must know G-Code/M-code
- Use and interpret precision measuring instruments
- Changes tool off sets to maintain dimensions per production drawings
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Maintain required time, production and quality records
- Determine and report any inefficiencies, defective materials, unusual conditions and machining issues
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
- A strong work ethic with a proven history of being punctual and reliable
- Basic math skills (fractions, decimals, and reading a measuring tape)
- High attention to detail to catch discrepancies early and prevent material waste
- An eagerness to ask questions and embrace hands-on learning
