Job Summary

Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials to prepare machinery work for aircraft parts and fabricate tools. Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and instruments like micrometers and Vernier calipers. Align fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories onto machines, then set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools to perform precision machining operations. Clean and lubricate equipment, monitor feed and speed during machining, and diagnose malfunctions to determine necessary adjustments or repairs. Study blueprints and engineering information to determine operation sequences, machine parts to specifications, and measure completed units to check for defects. Confer with engineering or supervisory personnel to exchange technical information and operate equipment to verify operational efficiency. This full-time position is based at the Fort Lauderdale, FL site and reports to the Director of Production. Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible.

Required Qualifications

  • Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.
  • Extensive knowledge of methods of repairing, installing, and maintaining components of aircraft articles.
  • Skilled in performing repairs and modifications on aircraft articles.
  • Familiar with tools and equipment appropriate for the functions performed.
  • Ability to understand and interpret documents related to technical manuals, diagrams, and safety rules.
  • This role is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
