Job Summary
Machinist needed to perform machining and fabrication duties to prepare parts for assembly of equipment, operate shop tools (shear, press, iron worker), maintain machine records, and ensure quality and safety. Role requires precise measurements, problem-solving, effective communication, adherence to safety policies, and the ability to operate machining tools and perform maintenance as directed. Includes a $1000 sign-on bonus after 90 days and equal opportunity employer statement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Math skills to take precise measurements and make calculations
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to develop effective manufacturing plans based on specifications
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that arise during the manufacturing process
- Ability to move roughly 50 to 75 lbs. and remain stationery throughout a shift
- Understanding of health and safety regulations to reduce the risk of workplace accidents
- Basic knowledge of cutting and welding
- Able to operate various machining tools efficiently and effectively
