Job Summary
Machinist on first and second shifts responsible for programming, setup and operation of CNC machines to produce parts from metal or plastic. Duties include generating CNC programs, verifying dimensions, editing programs for offsets, reading blueprints, using calipers/mics/depth gauges, creating CNC codes with Esprit Software, adjusting tool speeds/feeds, identifying appropriate tools, ensuring safe, efficient production, and collaborating with tooling vendors and engineering. Must follow API and HSE policies, be able to work overtime, and maintain quality while handling physical tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- CNC Programming certificate
- Good working knowledge of machine programing
- Good working knowledge of machining terminology
- Good working knowledge and practice in the use of precision measurement tools
- At least 3 years previous experience
- Authorized to work in the US
- Knowledge of Lean Methods and practice is a plus
