Job Summary
Set up and run CNC mills and lathes to execute precision cutting, boring, and profiling for specialized marine and industrial equipment. Review blueprints and engineering data packages to ensure accurate fabrication of components meeting rigorous quality metrics. Monitor production outputs to detect tooling wear and machine deviations early, utilizing manual measurement tools for verification. Conduct daily checks of machine coolant and way oil, maintaining accurate maintenance records while adhering to OSHA regulations and shop safety procedures. Work a 7:00AM – 3:30PM Monday-Friday shift in a 100% employee-owned environment, reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or technical trade school certificate
- 3+ years of precision CNC/manual machining experience
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Solid understanding of machining basics
- Physical ability to operate machines
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times
