Job Summary
Fabricate precision-machined parts by setting up and operating manual or CNC mills and lathes per work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings. Evaluate blueprints to develop machining strategies, identify tooling, and create work holders or fixtures. Verify parts using precision measuring equipment and adjust tooling offsets based on cutting conditions. Machine hardware from materials such as aluminum, steel, titanium, and stainless steel while adhering to production and quality standards. Participate in troubleshooting production issues and re-machine parts based on engineering changes. Machine prototype hardware with limited supervision and deburr parts when necessary. 1st or 2nd shift in Moorpark, CA.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years minimum experience setting up and running manual mills and lathes
- Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Minimum High school education or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to communicate with others effectively in both written and verbal fashion
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to meet all ITAR and BATFE background requirements
Desired Qualifications
- CNC experience a plus
- Experience machining titanium, stainless, aluminum, plastics and other std aerospace materials
- ESPRIT, Master Cam programming software experience a plus
- Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading and inspection tools
- Work with little or no supervision, previous lead experience a plus
