Job Summary
Set up and operate manual and/or CNC machine tools to produce precision metal components, interpreting blueprints and job orders to determine machining requirements, tooling, and sequence of operations. Machine parts to required tolerances and specifications, verifying quality using precision measuring instruments while performing basic maintenance and keeping work areas clean. Safely move materials using forklifts, hoists, and other lifting equipment, ensuring all products meet quality standards and safety procedures. Complete 3-6 months of training on the 1st shift before working 10-hour 2nd shifts from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am Monday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments
- Basic shop math skills, including fractions and decimals
- Ability to safely use hand tools and manufacturing equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous machining experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience operating CNC and/or manual machine tools
- Trade school, technical school, or machining program coursework
- Experience holding tight tolerances and inspecting precision components
