Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC and/or manual machines (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) to produce parts per specifications. Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions. Fit and assemble machined parts and dismantle mill maintenance equipment. Operate pendant, remote crane, and lift truck as necessary. Performs any layout work of parts as required. Calculates and determines dimensions, tapers, indices, and other data using shop formulas and handbooks. Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators). Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency. Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized work area. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of proven machinist experience in a job shop or high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environment
- Ability to read blueprints
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalency from an accredited institution
- Full-time availability including rotating shifts and weekends
- Pass required testing
- Currently legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Must be able to work full-time, including rotating shifts, and weekends
- Must pass required testing

Desired Qualifications
- Have a machinist certificate or card
- Strong measurement skills; GD&T
- Experience with CNC controls (Haas, Mazak)
