Job Summary
Operate vertical milling machines, horizontal lathes, and surface grinders to produce precision parts for new product development. Create Prototrak programs, design fixtures, and set up workpieces to perform progressive machining operations meeting strict tolerance and finish requirements. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints while monitoring processes for in-process and final inspection of finished parts. Maintain machinery and conduct minor repairs or adjustments to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This role supports mechanical design, signal integrity, and process engineering teams within Amphenol Communications Solutions in Nashua, NH.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to self-start and work with minimal supervision
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment
- Experience with precision machining equipment
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of tolerances
Desired Qualifications
- 2-year Machine Tool degree or certificate preferred
- Experience with setup and operation of CNC mills, lathes, and use of related CAM software preferred
- Familiarity with machining a variety of materials such as aluminum, tool steel, stainless steel, copper, and other alloys
- Programming experience using Prototrak conversational controls
- Experience using solid modeling tools (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.)
