Job Summary
Operate multiple machines while monitoring coolant mixtures, calibrating inspection devices, and setting up tooling using gages and pneumatic tools. Read blueprints, routers, and inspection sheets to perform operations and in-process inspections that ensure error-free products with acceptable tolerances. Maintain 5S housekeeping, manage DNC program data, and follow technical procedures under general direction in a team environment. This role requires 6 months of CNC Lathe/Mill experience, ability to work 6–8 hours standing, and adherence to safety protocols for high-speed machinery and hazardous operations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General education Degree (GED)
- 6 months of CNC Lathe and CNC Mill Experience OR any technical schooling in Machining with CNC Lathe/Mill experience
- At least 18 years of age by the time of joining
- Must be able to read and understand specifications
- Must be able to analyze and interpret technical procedures, blueprints and written instructions
- Ability to work with basic mathematical concepts
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practice situations
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to define and solve problems
- Ability to collect data
- Ability to establish facts
- Ability to draw valid conclusions
- Must be able to stand at least 6 to 8 hours a day
- Must be able to work with upper body extremities
- Must be able to walk, sit, or stoop on a regular basis
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds on a frequent basis
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds on occasion
- Must be able to use approved chemicals
- Must be able to handle exposure to dust, fumes, or smoke from normal machining operations
- Must be able to handle noise intensity over 85 dB
- Must be able to prove status of a U.S. Person (U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, asylee, or refugee)
- Must successfully complete a drug screen
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- Prior machining experience
- Prior production experience
- Ability/prior experience reading blueprints
- Ability/prior experience reading routers and part numbers
- Ability/prior experience using work instructions
- Knowledge of documenting and scrapping hardware
