Job Summary

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines for precision part production. Select proper tooling and fixtures to achieve consistent results, while monitoring machine performance and troubleshooting equipment issues to prevent downtime. Perform detailed inspections using calipers and micrometers to ensure conformance, manage material handling with forklift operation, and maintain 5S standards on the shop floor. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to solve machining challenges and support continuous improvement initiatives. This second shift role runs from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. with a pay range of $26.00 to $28.00 per hour plus a $2.00 shift differential.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical certificate, associate's degree, or equivalent experience in machining or manufacturing technology
  • Minimum of two years of machining experience, including CNC setup and operation
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications
  • Comfortable using precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges
  • Forklift operation
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with a commitment to precision and high-quality workmanship
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills; able to identify and address machining challenges proactively
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment
  • Strong verbal communication skills; able to interact clearly with supervisors, engineers, and production team members
  • Goal-oriented with a focus on delivering quality parts and contributing to overall production performance
  • This is a second shift position with hours of 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
  • Regularly required to stand and walk throughout the workday
  • Frequently uses hands and arms for handling tools, materials, and machine controls
  • Must perform bending, reaching, and repetitive motion throughout the shift
  • Regularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 pounds, with team lifting required for heavier items
  • Forklift operation is required
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Hearing protection and other PPE are provided and required

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, drill presses) a plus
  • Forklift operation; certification preferred
