Machinist - 2nd Shift

Job Summary
Set-up, troubleshoot, and operate machines including tool and workpiece adjustments while executing daily production, quality, and on-time delivery requirements. Perform safe material handling processes involving forklift driving and overhead crane operation. Maintain a safe workplace by complying with Hitachi Global Air Power US Code of Ethics and safety rules, utilizing precision measurement devices to work within .0005 tolerances on CNC grinders, lathes, and mills. This role supports the global network building efficient compressed air solutions for industries ranging from food and beverage to pharmaceuticals and semi-conductor chips.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education or equivalent
- Basic reading and strong math skills
- 1-3 years machining experience preferred and/or machine trades schooling
- Strong mathematical skills
- Understand technical blueprints
- Computer skills required (i.e., spreadsheets, data entry, email)
- Ability to use precision measurement device
- Work within .0005 tolerances
- Working knowledge of machine shop equipment including but not limited to: CNC Grinders, Lathes and Mills
- Successfully complete training and receive a Forklift Operator's License
- Lifting to 35 lbs
- Lifting over 35 lbs requires a lifting device, crane, or assistance from another associate
- Standing and walking minimum of 8 hrs
- May work in awkward positions
