Machinist 2 (Day and Night Shift)

Job Summary
The Machinist 2 is responsible for setting up and operating manual lathes, manual mills, CNC lathes, CNC mills, and Waterjet machines for various production and engineering parts. The role requires adherence to standard operation procedures, maintenance of a clean work area, performance of preventative maintenance, and effective teamwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and strong skills in reading blueprints, using measuring tools, and understanding CNC programming.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience working with Manual and/or CNC machines
- Solid written and verbal communication in English
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and safety
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings for all processes and programs
- Proficient in math and able to use handheld measuring tools
- Knowledge of machine safety
- Familiarity with CNC programming/languages (G/M Codes and Mazatrol)
- Thorough knowledge of how to create and edit programs
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances
