Machinist 1 - 2nd shift (Onsite)

Job Summary
Operate CNC and manual machines to produce machine parts, interpret blueprints and GD&T specifications, and assemble or fabricate metal components into sub-units. Conduct inspections of work produced, check SPC charts for gauging and measurements, and maintain quality and safety standards while following EHS guidelines. Perform mechanical blasting and preparation of parts for processing lines including chrome, nickel, and cadmium. This role is safety sensitive and requires a U.S. person for drug and alcohol testing. The position is onsite at Opa Locka, Florida, with the second shift running from 2:45pm to 11:15pm Monday through Friday. Training will take place for 4-8 weeks on the first shift.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Person (lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, U.S. national, refugee, or asylee status)
- HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
- Must be available for Second Shift (2:45pm-11:15pm AM Monday – Friday)
- Must be available for First Shift training (5:45am - 2:15 pm, Monday –Friday) for 4-8 weeks
- Must be subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA's regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40
- Must be able to work extended shifts/overtime as required by the business
