Machining Technician (10P-6A)

Job Summary
Machining Technician responsible for setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support of CNC and/or manual machining equipment used to process aluminum die cast components. Ensures machined parts meet quality specifications while supporting safety, productivity, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include loading programs, changing tooling and offsets, reading blueprints, verifying with calipers/micrometers/gauges and CMM as applicable, troubleshooting tooling wear and dimensional/finish issues, performing preventative maintenance, monitoring machine performance and tool life to maximize efficiency, replacing tools and fixtures as needed, coordinating with quality/engineering/maintenance/production teams, supporting startups and changeovers, and maintaining accurate production/quality documentation. Preferred experience with multi-axis CNC machines, GD&T, SPC, fixture/tooling management, lean manufacturing, and automotive/high-volume environments. Requires high school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred; ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring equipment; basic CNC programming knowledge; strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting; ability to work independently and in a team; basic computer/data entry skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment with typical noise and fluids.
