Job Summary
Machine Shop Operator I responsible for finishing operations on machined parts with close tolerances, including deburring, drilling, tapping, sand blasting, tumble deburring, and passivation. Works under Group Leader with limited supervision, using blueprints and work instructions to set up tools and machines, performing deburr and secondary operations, polishing, grinding, buffing, and ensuring conformance through inspection and OAP. Requires certification to perform Passivation, abrasive blasting, and Molykote/Dry Film Lube application; shift is 1st shift (6:30a-3:00p).
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with shop practices, inspection and safety.
