Job Summary
Machining/Grinding Specialist responsible for the efficient setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC machining/grinding centers to meet quality and productivity targets. Duties include setting up and operating machines per established procedures and safety guidelines, performing machining/grinding on varied parts within specified parameters, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, properly using PPE, interpreting engineering drawings/blueprints/specifications, applying offset adjustments to uphold quality standards, conducting inspections with precision measuring instruments, participating in lean/continuous improvement activities, and performing additional duties as scheduled. Must be able to lift 40 lbs, work in a manufacturing environment, and collaborate with colleagues (IAMAW Lodge 475). Skills desired include basic math, mechanical aptitude, experience with measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, gauges), and the ability to learn new tasks.
