Job Summary
Machining Engineer responsible for planning and designing tools, machines, and mechanical equipment; overseeing installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment; improving manufacturing processes, process controls, and quality systems. Reads blueprints and GD&T; collaborates with engineers to implement procedures; analyzes customer designs for feasibility and cost; specifies components and modifications to meet performance specs; develops and tests mechanical products and processes; authors CNC programs and modifies as needed; investigates equipment failures; utilizes CAD/CAM tools (AutoCAD, CATIA, ESPRIT CAM, SolidWorks, Pro/ENGINEER); applies Lean/Six Sigma methodologies; seeks corrective actions using quality tools; requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years in a machining environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a machining center or machining production environment
- Hands-on experience with setup, maintenance, and operation of mills, lathes, Bridgeport machines, and CNC equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with AutoCAD, CATIA, and ESPRIT CAM
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Experience with SolidWorks and Pro/ENGINEER (ProE) is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications

- Knowledge of quality tools (5W 2H, 5P) for corrective actions
