Job Summary
Machining Crew Leader coordinates a machining cell, trains employees, and communicates between management and staff. Responsible for scheduling production, balancing workloads, monitoring safety and quality, reviewing inspection sheets, and preparing production reports. Leads continuous improvement and safety initiatives, conducts Sunrise meetings and monthly safety talks, and supports company policies while ensuring compliance with safety standards and proper training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in related areas
- 1 to 3 years preferred
- Working knowledge of production reporting and production scheduling
- Basic working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades, and species
- Must be at least 18 years of age
