Job Summary
Set up and operate NC milling/grinding machines, vertical turret lathes, or VTCs to perform routine production operations on weldments and assemblies. Work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instruction to execute grinding, turning, facing, boring, and chamfering operations. Verify finished work conformance using precision measuring instruments and obtain operator certification to accept or reject parts. Perform required total preventive maintenance (TPM) on machines and collaborate with engineers, quality assurance, and production personnel to resolve machining problems. Complete a 3-week training program followed by 4-8 weeks of on-the-job training to develop skills for aerospace manufacturing. This 3rd shift role runs Monday through Friday from 11:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship
- High School or GED
Desired Qualifications
- 1 + years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience
- Ability to make computations involving decimals and fractions
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
