Job Summary
Machinery Maintenance Mechanic needed at an Anchorage location to replace defective parts, order replacements via machine shop, and perform major repairs. Responsibilities include preparing written repair specifications, reassembling machines with proper adjustments, and communicating status with the foreman, supervisor, and work control. Must adhere to all safety procedures, utilize timekeeping/data-entry devices, and support a comprehensive benefits package typical of Tessera’s programs. The role requires hands-on mechanical work, ability to lift up to 70 pounds, and capability to operate in varied conditions on a federal contractor site. This is a full-time, day-shift position located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, with eligibility for security clearances and E-Verify per contract requirements.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of facilities maintenance experience required
- Proficiency in most semi-skilled tasks and all unskilled tasks
- Must be able to perform manual labor for extended periods in various environments
- Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and balance
- Must have valid state driver’s license and REAL ID-compliant alternative for installation access
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearances and installation access
- Background check and E-Verify will be conducted
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks over long periods
- Ability to work in adverse weather and high places
