Job Summary
Set up and test sensor equipment and mobile platforms, then capture and manage image and video data from various environments. Prepare this data for machine learning model training and write scripts to automate the data pipeline or assist with visualization. Collaborate with engineers across software, hardware, and AI domains while maintaining clear documentation of all tests and processes. This internship supports a growing UK-based AI start-up focused on machine vision, robotics, and intelligent sensing, offering paid work experience on real-world projects with potential for future employment.
Required Qualifications
- 2.1 or 1st from internationally renowned university
- all A's at A-Level (or international equivalent)
- Consistent top academics
- studying/studied for a degree in a STEM subject such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science
- Solid Python skills
- comfort level working with technical systems
- strong knowledge in Computer Vision (i.e. dissertation project, several modules, etc.)
- Interest in robotics, or intelligent sensing
- Attention to detail when working with large volumes of data
- Comfortable setting up and testing physical equipment (e.g. cameras or development boards)
- Strong communication skills
- proactive, team-focused mindset
- UK driving licence
- access to a vehicle
- position to qualify for UK security clearance
- UK citizen for the past 5 years
