Machine Tool Programmer

Job Summary
Analyze drawings, design data, and processing information to determine cutter paths, tool selections, and machine speeds. Create, maintain, and improve CNC programs and tooling setup sheets while writing tool sheet instructions containing lists, fixturing, and setup details. Utilize CAD, CAM, Syteline, and MS Office to perform tasks, work with tooling and machinists personnel to correct errors and optimize performance, and collaborate with process engineering for proper fixturing. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce change over times, address safety issues, and increase productivity. Oversee quality according to company standards and exemplify the safety mindset by complying with all requirements. Complete special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant programming experience
- ability to read and interpret G and M code
Desired Qualifications
- Blueprint reading and GD&T training completion
