Job Summary
Batching and Casting Operator III at CTS in Albuquerque, NM, performing powder processing and slurry casting to ceramic green tape, data entry, and quality control. Responsible for collecting and analyzing powder samples, preparing oxide powders, weighing, mixing slurries, casting processes, inputting data into control charts, and following safety and work instructions. Requires experience with ceramic powders, lab testing, data organization, and ability to communicate in English; ISO 9100 audit familiarity and short-term training travel to Boise, ID are noted. Must maintain lab/production housekeeping and operate with PPE, including ability to move/lift 50 lbs and work with analytical equipment like sieve analysis, XRD, particle size, and TGA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of direct experience as an operator or technician
- 3 years of Process Technician I experience or equivalent
- Reading, writing, and communicating in English is required
- Experience with ceramic powder and laboratory testing is a plus
- Ability to track samples, perform tests, and organize data
- Proficiency with metrology tools (micrometers, calipers) and Excel/Word
- Ability to understand and follow safety rules and procedures
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle lab equipment
