Job Summary

Complete assigned repair jobs, diagnose and troubleshoot machine and engine problems, and perform critical repairs and adjustments using hand, air, precision, and diagnostic tools. Remove and install parts, test assemblies, and verify correct operation while adhering to WCAT safety policies, contamination control, and HAZMAT regulations. Provide accurate pricing estimates, complete required paperwork and database entries, and mentor team members. This safety-sensitive role requires flexibility for shift work, overtime, and on-call duties, with up to 20% travel. Candidates must possess mastery of engines, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including air-conditioning certification and forklift/man lift training.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • five to eight years related experience and/or training
  • equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Knowledge of Database software
  • Knowledge of Internet software
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing software
  • Knowledge of Order processing systems
  • Must be at least 21 to be assigned and operate field vehicle
  • Must be certified in air-conditioning
  • Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties
  • Mastery level knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Mastery level knowledge of air tools
  • Mastery level knowledge of precision measuring tools and instruments
  • Mastery level knowledge of laptops
  • Mastery level knowledge of diagnostic software
  • Mastery level knowledge of cranes and rigging equipment
  • Ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer
  • Ability to Diagnose and troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to give recommendations for repairs
  • Ability to make all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments
  • Ability to Apply specific failure analysis and procedures in determining proper diagnosis
  • Ability to Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments
  • Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work
  • Flexibility to work required overtime
  • Flexibility to work on call
  • Will be certified prior to operating a forklift
  • Will be certified prior to operating a man lift
  • Requires general knowledge of engines
  • Requires general knowledge of electrical systems
  • Requires general knowledge of electronic systems
  • Requires general knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Requires general knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Requires general knowledge of pneumatic systems

  • Successfully complete Work Steps assessment
  • Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties

  • Must be at least 21 to be assigned and operate field vehicle
  • May be required to complete DOT physical
  • May require MSHA certification
