Job Summary
The Machine Technician II operates to provide high quality repair service on equipment, diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, and ensuring proper maintenance and adjustments on machines and engines. This role requires removal and installation of parts, completing paperwork related to repairs, and adhering to safety and contamination control regulations. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and three to five years of related experience. In-depth knowledge of tools and the ability to mentor team members are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three to five years related experience and/or training
- Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties
- Must be at least 21 to be assigned and operate field vehicle
- Successfully complete Work Steps assessment
- Will be certified prior to operating a forklift and/or man lift
- May be required to complete DOT physical
- May require MSHA certification
Desired Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
- Ability to provide accurate information to management for quoting
- Able to mentor Machine team members
- Must be certified in air-conditioning
- Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, required overtime and on call
Additional Requirements
- Must be at least 21 to be assigned and operate field vehicle
- This position is considered a safety sensitive position
