Job Summary
Assist in planning and coordinating software requirements gathering, design, development and implementation of Sciaky Electron Beam Welding and Additive Manufacturing control and software systems. Maintain, support and upgrade existing systems and applications; communicate clearly with team and customers; travel to client sites for installation, test, start-up, commissioning and training. Strong emphasis on real-time, PLC/HMI programming, version control, and integration of software with hardware in a manufacturing/industrial environment; experience with LabVIEW, C#/C++, UNIX/VXWorks, and RTOS-based systems. Must be able to work in an office setting with occasional visits to facilities and travel to other locations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related Controls/Automation programming
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in software development, programming design and systems management
- Experience with C#, C++, C, LabVIEW
- Experience with hardware-software integration and communications protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, RS232
- Experience with real-time system development
- Electrical Engineering knowledge desirable
- Robotic programming
- Embedded systems design
- UNIX, VXWorks and VME systems experience
