Job Summary
Operate automated machinery to produce aircraft parts within the cell, performing manual set-ups by positioning and aligning tooling per set-up instructions using CNC programming language. Maintain tolerances through operation observation, machine offset adjustments, cutter changes, and self-inspection, while documenting actions in quality logs and creating Product Defect Sheets for discrepancies. Execute work from set-up sheets, manufacturing sheets, and drawings, and support continuous improvement, 5S activities, and Standard Work Development. Multi-task and operate other machines within the cell as assigned. Weekend Night shift (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.). Requires 5 years of Mill Turn machining experience, blueprint reading, and Renishaw probe proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 5 years of current Mill Turn machining experience
- Experience utilizing measuring equipment in support of quality requirements
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience with renishaw probe and probe cycles
- Willingness to train, multi-task and operate other machines in the cell
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Must meet all requirements under ITAR
- Must meet all requirements under CCGP
- Weekend Night shift (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate of Qualification (C of Q)
- Verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner
- Experience with Tmac adaptive control
