Job Summary
Conduct ID and OD grinding on large chrome and HVOF plated aircraft components during the weekend night shift (Friday-Sunday, 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.). Participate in lean initiatives including 5S, TPM, and process improvement teams while coordinating priorities between operators and shifts. Operate cranes to move parts and multi-task other machines within the cell. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Complete training within 4-6 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Grinding/ Lathe/ CNC Machining
- Experience with machine shop practices, including lathe, Turning, Vhone and / or Grinding
- Experience working to close tolerances
- Solid understanding of blueprint reading
- Solid understanding of all associated measuring equipment
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Must meet all requirements under ITAR
- Must meet all requirements under CCGP
- Weekend Nights (Friday-Sunday) 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. shift availability
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate of Qualification (C of Q)
- 3 years of cylindrical grinding experience of large components
