Job Summary
Create and maintain cylindrical grinding and Swiss CNC programs, setup instructions, and update existing CAM software packages. Document tooling and setup procedures to maximize part-to-part changeovers for machine operators. Lead small projects and groups for continuous improvement efforts, including new equipment selection and implementation focused on grinding and Swiss applications. Assist with material, tooling, and machine selection processes to drive continuous improvements. Analyze data to justify process, tooling, or machine changes and communicate effectively with design engineering and inspection personnel. Perform complete setup and operation of a wide range of CNC grinding and Swiss machining centers. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or 2 years of technical training in machine tool technology or a related field
- Experience in programming turning operations and with an emphasis on Grinding and Swiss operations
Desired Qualifications
- MasterCAM Mill experience
- Ability to efficiently utilize CAD (Solidworks) in creation of CAM programs
