Job Summary
Lead CNC machining operations, oversee CNC operators, develop CNC programs for complex components used in robotic assemblies and automation-enabled production lines, and drive the setup of a newly relocated machine shop. Utilize CAM tools (Mastercam, Fusion 360) to optimize toolpaths and cycle times, troubleshoot multi-axis machines and robotic tending cells (Okuma experience beneficial), and collaborate with engineering, automation, and maintenance teams to improve uptime, performance, and quality. Play a key role in facility relocation planning, equipment layout, workflow optimization, and integration with digital manufacturing technologies while upholding safety and precision standards.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Machine Tool Technology, Computer Integrated Machining, or a closely related manufacturing discipline
- 8+ years of experience in CNC machining, electrical/mechanical technical support, or similar roles in an advanced-manufacturing environment
- Prior experience in setting up a machine shop or similar environment (industrial automation or advanced-manufacturing environment)
- Demonstrated background in CNC machining, programming, and supervising machining teams within high-precision or automation-driven production settings
- Strong leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to support both machining personnel and automated systems
