Job Summary
Lead the machine shop: coordinate the daily production schedule, manage CNC setup and operation with Haas controls, read blueprints and GD&T, train and coach operators, enforce quality and safety, manage tooling inventory, perform FAI verification, support continuous safety and production improvements, coordinate daily cell activities, drive waste elimination and Lean practices, and participate in SOP/JIB-based processes while collaborating with the Supervisor and other team members.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Post high school technical or other education preferred.
- Previous production supervisor experience preferred.
- Shop math skills: calculating feed speeds; H.S. level geometry & trigonometry
- Experience required with Machine Shop equipment (CNC, Manual Mills, Lathes, etc.) experience required.
- CNC Lathe & Mill Experience 2+ years (Haas controls preferred)
- Ability to work in and maintain a safe work environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and understand concepts of GD&T.
- Able to use precision measuring equipment.
- Able to communicate fluently in English.
- Timely and consistent attendance.
- Good knowledge of SOP’s and processes with computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of Lean Production Concepts, 5S
- Ability to operate material handling equipment to move and align materials.
- Knowledge of MRP/ERP concepts a plus.
- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs.
