Job Summary
Assist the Fabrication Leader with daily machine shop operations, including operating CNC and manual machinery, welding, cutting, grinding, and assembly work. Perform carpentry, framing, and custom build projects while reading measurements and interpreting fabrication plans. Help load, unload, organize, and maintain materials and inventory, ensuring the shop remains clean, organized, and safety compliant. Troubleshoot minor equipment or build issues as they arise to support project timelines and deadlines. Occasional onsite support is required for installation prep and packing.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in fabrication, welding, carpentry, machinery operation, or a related trade preferred
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Basic understanding of machine shop safety practices and procedures
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 75+ lbs
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
Desired Qualifications
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Experience in scenic fabrication, production environments, or custom builds is a plus
