Job Summary
Set up, adjust, and operate production machinery to meet daily targets, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime. Monitor machine performance, conduct quality checks against customer specifications, and maintain accurate records of settings and ERP efficiency data. Liaise with the Production Team Leader to establish packing plans, ensure technical and H&S compliance through start-up checks, and manage label usage. Collaborate with team members to follow SOPs, support colleagues, and report policy breaches promptly. Work a rolling 4-on/4-off shift from 06:00 to 18:00 at the new chilled potato product site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
Required Qualifications
- Good understanding of machinery operations and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic machine maintenance
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
- Positively share knowledge and help train colleagues when required
Desired Qualifications
- Food Safety level 2 or above is desirable
- Previous experience in machine setting of Tray Sealing Machines, Multi-head-weighers, Auto coding and X-ray would be advantageous
- Previous experience with an ERP and manufacturing efficiency software
