Job Summary
Machine Safety Specialist – Sales Engineer at Grantek will serve as a Subject Matter Expert within the Practice group, leading pre-sales activities, risk assessments, proposal development, technical marketing, and sales engagements. You will architect customer solutions and present them to both technical and non-technical audiences, translate complex concepts into compelling presentations, develop client relationships, and collaborate across engineering, operations, and project teams to deliver safe, compliant solutions across the full system life cycle. Key duties include performing machine safety assessments, supporting global standards compliance (ISO 13849, IEC 62061, IEC 61508, ANSI B11.19), developing and presenting proposals, and driving account strategies with Delivery, Marketing, and Engineering teams. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical certification, 3-5 years in a sales/engineering context, travel 30-50% across North America, and a customer-centric, results-driven mindset with strong mentorship and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. Engineering/Electrical Engineering or Related Engineering Degree and/or Technology Diploma/Certification
- Travel requirement 30-50% across North America
- 3-5 years experience in a team-based environment, account management, and sales functions
- Strong knowledge of a sales process, and engineering design principles and processes relating to machine safety
- Involvement in machine safety facets of automation projects
- Demonstrated mentorship and communication skills
