Job Summary
The Machine Repair Electrician at Lincoln Electric is responsible for electrically troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex production equipment and systems. This role includes performing preventative maintenance, inspecting and adjusting automated machines, assisting engineers with test equipment, and documenting repairs for regulatory purposes. Ideal candidates should have completed an electrician apprenticeship or possess similar qualifications and be able to work flexible shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully completed an Electrician Apprentice Program
- Associate degree/certificate in Electronics/Electrical Technology or equivalent job experience
- Pass the skilled trade assessment test
- Basic knowledge of electrical troubleshooting
- Basic knowledge of combustion and/or hydraulic systems
- Basic knowledge and experience in relay logic, industrial controls, electronics, and PLCs
- Basic ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and engineering drawings
- Basic ability to use a computer to communicate with machine control systems and PLCs
- Basic ability to diagnose problems and make repairs
- Ability to use measuring devices
- Excellent attendance
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Team oriented and self-motivated
- Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds
- Willingness to work in confined areas and at heights
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Able to distinguish colors used in wires and components
