Job Summary
Set up, tear down, and operate tow motors, hand mules, dumpers, grinders, mixers, and emulsifiers. Move heavy buckets and tanks of ground meat between areas, add ingredients to blends, and perform weight and process checks. Complete general housekeeping and maintain manufacturing practices while rotating through assigned positions. Accurately record product information into the computer and perform basic math functions. Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements. Work in a fast-paced environment with wet conditions and cold temperatures, standing or walking for up to 10 hours. Obtain tow motor certification and work overtime or weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Ability and willingness to obtain tow motor certification
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Proficiency in reading and writing
- Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork
- Ability to effectively communicate across all management levels
- Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination
- Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently
- Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
- Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees
- 3 months of work history with the same employer
