Job Summary
Machine Operator for 1st shift operates machinery in meat processing, monitors microwave temperatures, makes necessary microwave adjustments, tracks tempered meat by pallet, unit and lot numbers, maintains sanitary GMP-compliant practices, and reports deficiencies affecting food safety. Responsibilities include reading and following the microwave spread sheet, completing downtime sheets, lifting up to 70 lbs, working in extreme temperatures (4F to 12F), and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Must be able to learn adjustments to achieve target temperatures and ensure proper temperature tracking and control throughout production.
