Job Summary
Setup and operate a slitter according to customer specifications and work orders. Make and inspect arbor and overarm set-ups, thread coils through the slitter head and recoiler, and maintain production standards by measuring gauge width, hardness, camber, and surface condition. Adjust machine setups to correct defects, band and identify slit mults, and complete production documentation. Assist with troubleshooting malfunctions, preventative maintenance, and removing scrap. Communicate non-compliance to supervisors and ensure all operations comply with safety rules.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to perform complete set-up and operational tasks of slitting to ensure compliance with customer specifications and production requirements
- Ability to use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
