Job Summary
Operate machine controls to ensure compliance with production instructions while maintaining accurate documentation of settings and work orders. Use banding equipment to package material per customer specifications and load, transport, and stack materials using forklifts or overhead cranes. Make and inspect arbor and overarm set-ups, then measure steel dimensions with tape measures and micrometers to uphold production standards. Retrieve samples for lab review, communicate non-compliance to supervisors, and clean the machine area. Requires ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and proficiency with equipment programmers.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of an ability to comply with safety rules and requirements
- Knowledge of and ability to operate equipment programmers
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality standards
- Ability to use tape measures, Rockwell tester, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
