Job Summary
Operate all key manufacturing equipment to produce plastic compounds for unique and specialty customer applications while following standard operating procedures to ensure safety and quality. Engage in process measurement, control, and improvement across assigned tasks, learning key operating parameters to deliver in-specification product. Troubleshoot problems using general mechanical knowledge and apply basic skills for running extruders, mixing equipment, and pre/postproduction operations including drying, bagging, and grinding. Requires high school diploma, two years of manufacturing experience, and extrusion experience; ability to lift 55lbs frequently. Shift runs 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to lift 55lbs. frequently
- Ability to learn the functionality of plant equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Basic knowledge of running an extruder or mixing equipment
- Ability to learn pre and postproduction equipment and operations (drying, bagging, grinding etc.)
- General mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot problems
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of manufacturing experience
- Extrusion experience
