Job Summary
Machine Operator responsible for setting up and operating cutting equipment to meet customer specifications, performing quality inspections, programming machine controls to meet job specifications, and supporting maintenance and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role involves locating flat stock, performing make-readies, interpreting job tickets, adhering to SOPs and quality standards, operating paper joggers and lifters, conducting knife changes and adjustments, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting with cross-training and documentation while ensuring safety and efficient production flow.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Mechanical aptitude or ability to pass a mechanical assessment
- Strong math skills and ability to interpret measurements
- Ability to read, write, and understand complex instructions and technical documents
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to pass a basic reading test
- Willingness to work overtime, including during peak production periods
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
