Job Summary
Set up trim press machines and inspect forged parts for excess metal using visual and tactile checks. Mount work pieces in fixtures, adjust set-ups as needed, and remove defects with air-powered deburring tools. Maintain accurate part counts and ensure quality and production requirements are met per job-specific travelers. Participate in total quality management, LEAN manufacturing, and SPC activities while supporting plant quality and productivity goals. Adhere to all safety policies, process specifications, and ITAR regulations requiring US citizenship or permanent residency.
Required Qualifications
- English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehension)
- Understand written and verbal instructions
- Maintain focus on tasks throughout a scheduled shift
- Keep accurate part counts
- Demonstrate proficiency in basic mathematics
- Recognize any mechanical dysfunctions or risks and notify a supervisor
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record
- Follow and respect supervisor's direction
- Ensure quality parts to meet customers' and APP's requirements
- Work at an acceptable level of productivity
- Maintain a non-combative, positive work attitude
- Uphold safe, honest work habits and practices
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Willingness from employees to be cross-trained on multiple operations
- Communicate effectively and professionally with all employees across all levels and departments at APP
- US Citizen or US Person (U.S. Person = a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
