Job Summary
Make ready and operate press, bindery, and die-cutting equipment based on written instructions while establishing color, fold, and mechanical quality to BPC standards. Continuously monitor product for defects, approve or reject output, and perform assigned make-ready duties, general maintenance, and lubrication. Direct and coordinate activities of assigned crew members, complete required documentation, and troubleshoot machine operations to ensure safe, high-quality production flow. This role involves working 8-12 hour shifts with opportunities for overtime and supervisory duties. Quad offers competitive wages, an accelerated training program, and relocation assistance up to $25,000 for candidates with prior print experience.
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, stand long hours (8-12-hour shifts), use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions, and use vision to identify defects
- Must be able to utilize a computer to ensure the quality of the product
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Press equipment to include: Heidelberg XL 106 or KBA Rapida
- Experience with Bindery equipment to include – Bobst 106 Expertcut, Spantera, and Vision Cut Die Cutters
