Job Summary
Compile stock dimensions, machining sequences, and thread specifications from charts. Select, install, and adjust threading dies, feed grips, and pressure mechanisms to ensure quality parts. Adjust speed controls to synchronize stock transfer with machine action. Comply with all safety regulations while verifying workpiece dimensions and modifying dies as necessary. Maintain, oil, and clean machines regularly; drain oil trays and maintain housekeeping standards. Recognize quality issues and troubleshoot process problems with engineers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Trade school apprenticeship experience
- Trimming Operator experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Detailed oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to complete routine production and quality reports
- Understanding and compliance with safety rules and regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
