Job Summary
Machine Operator duties include setting and operating machinery, working from technical drawings, producing products to high standards, performing changeovers, managing speeds and feeds, and ensuring EH&S compliance. The role is for a permanent, full-time Machine/ Production Operative in Rumney Cardiff with Monday–Friday shifts (some overtime available) and potential progression to supervisory roles. Requires prior experience in a production/manufacturing environment, ability to work independently or in a team, and the capacity to meet tight deadlines and quality targets.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within a Production/ Machine Operator position in an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Ability to carrying out complete and partial changeovers
- Understanding of speeds and feeds based on materials; controls; programming; safety and tooling
- Able to communicate at all levels and work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and to tight deadlines
- Ability to achieve production and quality targets
- Positive and flexible can-do attitude
