Job Summary
Start up and shut down die cast machinery, operating and monitoring multiple machines while inspecting parts to ensure quality standards. Assist with die changes, machine setups, and troubleshooting minor equipment issues. Monitor hourly production, identify variances, and follow Standard Operating Procedures. Complete production paperwork, assist with inventory investigations, and help maintain a clean, organized work environment. Train associates on equipment procedures and provide guidance to team members. Communicate production and equipment issues to leadership and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of die cast experience
- Ability to stand on concrete floors for extended periods
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive arm movements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work in temperatures up to 100°F
- Ability to work mandatory overtime
- Must follow all required safety procedures and PPE requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of PDCA, 5S, and root cause analysis
- Understanding of basic quality tools
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to identify and address machine and product quality issues
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable attendance
