Job Summary
Machine Operator responsible for operating and setting up fab shop machines to manufacture parts in accordance with blueprints and specifications. Duties include reading blueprints, performing setups for assigned work cells, aligning and measuring workpieces, monitoring machine operation for defects, maintaining quality standards, and adhering to safety procedures. Role requires ability to read job specs, use shop math for layouts, and assist with production scheduling and training of operators. Flexible with multi-tasking across fab department and maintaining housekeeping and hazardous waste procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Read blueprints
- Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
- Set up all in-house fab shop machines (excluding CNC program writing)
- Assist lead and supervisor in production scheduling
- Train fab machine operators in all pay grades
- Follow oral and written directions in English
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
