Job Summary
Apply metal to customer orders by pulling, inspecting, and verifying product before processing according to work order specifications. Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment while performing equipment setup and preventive maintenance. Record inspection measurements, properly enter material tags, and segregate scrap or non-conforming materials. Communicate with sales representatives regarding order changes and provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality. Complete all required information entry accurately and maintain the processing area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. This 2nd shift role requires a high school diploma, forklift certification, and experience setting up slitting lines.
Required Qualifications
- Must be certified in the material handler position
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Perform basic math skills
- Safety Mindset
- Experience setting up and operating slitting lines
- Previous Forklift Experience
- Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment drug testing
