Job Summary
Set up and operate automatic leveling, sheeting, and console-operated equipment to level length and stack weigh flat sheets of various gauges according to customer orders, engineered layouts, and general instructions. Inspect material for quality conformance using measuring devices and drawings while adhering to all safety policies and procedures. Requires experience with slitting machines, crane operation, and precision instruments. 2nd shift assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in full set up and operation of slitting machine- metal preferred
- Mechanically inclined, production-oriented and safety and quality conscious
- General knowledge of crane operation and ancillary lifting devices
- Basic math skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under general supervision
- Detail-oriented with the ability to inspect material for quality conformance through the use of measuring devices and drawings
- Functional literacy
Desired Qualifications
- High School or GED equivalent preferred
- Working knowledge of general computer programs preferred
- Previous experience with precision instruments preferred
